Objectives

The Objectives of the Establishment of the Association

(a)    To orgainze the container transport carriers and motor gates scattered in the Union of Myanmar in order to strengthen, and enableevery able person to become member;

(b)    To gradually develop the container transport business in container ports, at border check points,
in the whole country and cross-border trade business;

(c)    To contribute to free flow and price control of commodities;

(d)    To endeavour for smoth operation of container transport including importing, running, storage
and maintermance of modern container trucks;

(e)    To gradually develop the container transport business at the time of 2015 ASEAN FREE TRADE AREA to be able to compete with other countries in the region;

(f)    To coordinate and settle the difficulties and disputes arising among departments, commodity owners and transporters;

(g)    For the cases of delay, damage, loss, and accidents not to happen such cases, and if it happens, to settle the case, and to look for ways and means, and to let members and also concernedparties know it;

(h)    For the development of container transport business in the long run, in line with the economic objectives of the State, to act as bridge between the Government sector and the members;

(i)    To study and collect the container transport technology, experience, information, and to disseminate to the members;

(j)    To negotiate, discuss, cooperate, sign contracts between members and departments, regional and international companies and organizations, and give assistance for the success of such things;

(k)    To always educate the container transporters, drivers and helpers to abide by the principles, rules and regulation of vehicles, road, and Association, and if disciplines are breached to give warning
and forbid;

(l)    To make members know and abide by the Laws, procedures, rules, policy and guide lines
of the State.

(n)    To organize and cooperate for forming the Association     by comprising   with the container truck owners and container transport operators who are   scattered in the Union of Myanmar, and for forming the container trucks branch Associations of Region or State
based in order to be safe and smooth container transportation.
